Ha oui j’oublais le script à était corrompu (j’ai réinstaller) mais j’ai quand meme du le réparer avec la commande
hmd5sum /etc/X11/xorg.conf | sudo tee /var/lib/x11/xorg.conf.md5sum. je sais pas si ça change qqchose.

Le fait que ça soit corrompu, c’est juste que si tu modifies ton xorg.conf manuellement, il n’est plus mis à jour automatiquement ensuite, d’où le besoin de faire ta manip (hmd5sum…) pour que tout rentre dans l’ordre

C’est bizarre qu’il te le détecte en ATI Rage XL :ane:… mais bon c’est juste l’identifiant, c’est pas gênant :), à condition que l’accélération graphique fonctionne :wink:

j’ai aussi du remettre mon xorg.conf d’origine parce que ça marchait pas j’ai un freeze au démarrage de kdm

voilà j’ai réussi à installer le driver nvidia en téléchargeant le fichier .bin sur le site de nvidia. Seul problème kdm freeze au démarrage de mon pc. Je crois savoir d’ou vient le problème j’ai remarqué que lors de l’installation du drivers le script a du compiler un nouveau module pour le noyau, je crois que c ce module qui n’est pas charger au démarrage. Est ce que quelqu’un peut confirmer et si oui comment fait on merci ?

lorsque je tue le processus kdm (meme si le sudo killall kdm a du mal ) et que je le lance kdm manuellement oui

mais c quand meme chiant comme procédure j’aimerai que ce soit automatique

le driver chargé doit être nvidia
et dans la section module il doit y avoir : Load "glx"

J’ai un moniteur Hyundai DeluxScan S560 (crt), Au fait j’ai pas de device Wacom comme indiqué dans le fichier est ce que je peut supprimer ces parties merci.

32bits ça n’existe pas vraiment : c’est 24 bits :wink:

Et sinon je ne vois pas de problème :??:

tu puex virer les sections “InputDevice” qui correspondent à un périphérique wacom sans soucis, mais n’oublie pas de virer les lignes dans la section “ServerLayout” qui leur correspond.

pour la profondeur de bit, c’est 24 et pas 32 comme a dit mr_pouit.

pour ton problème, ça me parait bizarre ton histoire de chargement au démarrage. si tu veux vraiment t’assurer que ce n’est pas ça, tu peux ajouter la ligne

nvidia

dans le fichier /etc/modules, mais à mon avis, ça ne vas rien changer.
le mieux, ça serait que quand kdm freeze, tu passes sans le VT 1 (ctrl+alt+F1) puis, tu te logues, et tu récupere le contenu de dmesg et de xorg.0.log

dmesg > dmesg.log
cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log > xorg.log

ensuite, fait ta manip pour relancer kdm et qu’il marche, et poste nous les deux fichiers que tu as fais.

au fait ? quelle distrib/version utilises-tu ? le mieux étant toujours de trouver un package tout prêt pour sa distrib au lieu de télécharger la version fournie par nvidia.
sous kubuntu et debian, c’est assez simple, je peux t’aider à le faire, sous mandriva et surement d’autres, il y a easymandriva qui contient ces drivers, c’est simple à faire aussi mais je ne m’en suis jamais servi, donc quelqu’un d’autre devra t’aider ou alors tu devra te débrouiller seul.

L’erreur apparait vers la fin (apparement c’est un problème d’initialisation du modules)

DeeJay : essaye de réinstaller les drivers proprio nvidia
Pour cela tu les installes normalement et sa va les supprimer, ensuite tu les réinstalles
si tu veu de l’aide

KDE n’est (entous cas avec install par défaut sous Kubuntu, mandriva…) pas un modele de réactivité, et c’est je pense ce que tu veux dire. essaye ubuntu, ou xubuntu, pour pouvoir tenter Gnome et Xfce sans avoir à changer de distro.

Je vois une énorme différence pour ma part entre Ubuntu et Kubuntu, effectivement. Moi qui trouvais Ubuntu plus réactive que Windows et légère en mémoire je me suis dit : ben pour une fois je vais pouvoir installer KDE peut-être ! Que nenni! Consommation mémoire élephantesque (j’ai tout de même 768 MO de ram, c’est pas une “petite” mémoire) et adieu la réactivité.
Je trouve que Gnome est un bon compromis, même si XFce est de mieux en mieux. Manque juste quelques logiciels de configuration.

Le navigateur de fichier s’est amélioré sous Xfce? parce que c’étais vraiment le truc que je ne trouvais pas très bien foutu.
